No idea why this needed to be closed off quite so thoroughly

Road closure, Istanbul

Waterfront promenade, Istanbul - there are almost no cyclists, but this could be used to encourage them.

Pedestrianisation in Moda, Istanbul, with a No Motorbikes sign.

The original cycle track from the Whitemoss Roundabout joins Calderwood Road, but a new shared-use footway starts and continues to the Alison Lea Health Centre, from where there is a local cycle route extending to Brancumhall.

Signs at the Whitemoss Roundabout, including some pointing up a flight of steps.

Signs at the Whitemoss Roundabout. I can see a problem with the route to the Sports Centre, and I'm not sure the signs for the Health Centre are pointing the right way. The nearest health centre might be the Hunter Health Centre back in the ... [more]

This way to the cycle route, at Whitemoss Roundabout.

A sign for the Sports Centre, but what about the cycle route all the way to Brancumhall?

A sign for East Kilbride town centre. But choose the further away path if you intend to use the shared footway and don't want to bump over the grass (see #107587).

The original cycle track leads cyclists out onto the busy Whitemoss Road carriageway. But the footway has been made shared use, without a connection being made between the cycle track and the footway to allow transfer onto the shared footwa ... [more]

The original layout at four of East Kilbride's roundabouts was that cyclists could leave the road before the roundabout, use the underpasses (including a pedestrian and cyclist roundabout in the centre such as at #107590), and then rejoin t ... [more]

A path being widened at Whitemoss Roundabout.

The shared-use footway alongside one side of the busy Whitemoss Avenue.

The cycleway along the Whitemoss Avenue footway (see #107581) is signed into the park and towards Avondale Avenue (and the path with steps in #107573).

No evidence that this section of footway on Whitemoss Avenue is a cycleway. It's also rather busy and cluttered.

I'm hoping this newly marked cycle path alongside Whitemoss Avenue will be widened once the work behind the hoardings has been finished.

'Slow' - a path that needs widened once the work behind the hoarding is finished.

New cycle markings and site entrance on Churchill Avenue, complete with obstructive sign posts. Once this site is operational, it looks like cyclists will have to wait for drivers exiting the car park to move off the crossing.

New cycle markings and site entrance on Churchill Avenue.

The path parallel to Churchill Avenue is being widened, although not by much.

Steps on the path between The Centre Roundabout underpass and Avondale Avenue. Avoid this path on a bike.

The Centre Roundabout doesn't have any cycle facilities (unlike the other town centre roundabouts) but does have a ramp to bypass the steps at the town centre side.

Ramp (not really for cycling) down from shopping centre entrance to the bus station area.

End of short path from toucan crossing (see #31494). Residential road links to further section of cycle path (see #31496).

Toucan crossing on route across main road. Path extends a considerable way across town (but see #31493).

A ramped path retro-fitted next to two and half steps without a banister, creating a slightly complex junction behind the Cedar Drive shop.

Extinction Rebellion blockade of Oxford Street.

The only underpass I saw in East Kilbride with a height restriction sign. Leads to the shopping centre (with some cycle parking at #107433).

Extinction Rebellion blockade of Great Cumberland Place.

Muddy track [now paved] which ends at the riverside path.

Access to the RSPB Fen Drayton reserve - technically a bridleway

Knapwell High Street - all red tarmac and traffic calming.

Paddington Station

The main route of the Whitehills cycle path forks left.

Car park entrance on Rothesay Street. Also leads to the cycle parking at #107435.

  • Icon 107584 Two people and us have been robed in our residence. Having a safe parking will be really nice.
  • Icon 107583 Cycle parking needed here.
  • Icon 107582 All cycle hangars currently in peckham are full, so we have put oursleves on the waiting list. It would be great to have more built in this area so more people could cycle.
  • Icon 107529 Cycle parking needed here.
  • Icon 107520 Secure sheltered bike lockers would be great.
  • Icon 107461 So many cyclists unable to park because of lack of parking facilities. The ones available are already fully occupied. Even employer cannot offer space because it's a busy area with so many cyclists
  • Icon 107354 There is no provision in the Court Lane and surrounding streets to serve all the local families with bikes. Most houses have very small front gardens with limited space for secure storage. This location is not outside any individual property and would be perfect for local residents
  • Icon 107353 There is currently no provision for bike parking in Court Lane. Front gardens are typically small with limited space for secure bike storage. We would like to access the local cycle ways into central London and for local journeys to reduce the traffic on the roads and reduce pollution. I have 4 bike users in my house and understand that some of my neighbours are in a similar position
  • Icon 107351 Hammersmith bridge shut down indefinitely. People can only walk or cycle. Imperative to be able to park bike st station.
  • Icon 107329 24/7 Secure cycle parking Lockers, Shower room and towels available.
  • Icon 107307 There is a desperate need to have covered cycle parking. I suggest using Cyclehoop bikehangars for this location as it is ideally placed and space availble on the footpath as it is overly large in this location.
